5 reasons why women shouldn’t do theological education:
It will erase your femininity. Outspoken and articulate women aren’t real women.
It will neutralise your ovaries Doing a full theological degree will stall your God-ordained role as mother.
It will grow hair on your chest. Ministry and theology are a man’s world. You can’t beat ’em, so you have to join ’em.
It will make your social life hell. Others will always question you, even if they don’t say anything. You will feel the constant need to justify and defend yourself.
It will be pointless, anyway. If you plan to have a family, your mind will dissolve in hormones and won’t reappear until after you’re done changing nappies and taking kids to netball practice1.
