Red Twin is living next door to us for 6 months doing some cross-cultural training before she heads to Afghanistan. She’s also Children’s Ministry Guru and today I sat in on a Bible study she was doing with three primary school aged girls.

Wendy has recently blogged about the idea of teaching her children a catechism, a supplement to learning Bible stories in helping her kids to grow as Christians. It got me thinking about the usefulness of catechisms today.

On Thursday nights, Arthur and I help to lead a cross-cultural Bible study. The participants are mainly skilled immigrants from the Middle East of varying Muslim backgrounds. We work hard at building bridges and commonalities but this week I was struck by the uniqueness of Christianity.
