As the academic year draws to a close, I realise it’s been a year since we finished our time at Bible college. In a year so much has changed!
This time last year we were writing our final exams for Greek and Hebrew exegesis. This year, we’re doing lots of speaking at a stack of different churches and Christian groups.
This time last year I was at the beginning of 7 months of spewing. Whoever said ‘morning’ sickness and that it lasts 3 months was having a cruel joke! Now, I’m feeling much healthier with the baby on the outside.
This time last year Arthur was packing up our home in Melbourne as we drove back to Adelaide. Now we’re packing boxes which we will air freight to Tanzania.
This time last year we were gearing up for 5 months of intercultural training. Now, we’ve actually got to put into practice what we learned: mainly that we’ve got stacks more learning to do.
This time last year we were dreaming up fun things to do with my Nanny over the summer. Now she’s having way more fun in glory.
This time last year we were preparing for three family weddings: one of my sisters plus two of Arthur’s brothers. Now they’re all hitched and Red Twin is living overseas permanently.
There are even bigger changes ahead!
